First off, if you are reading this then I love you, think you're the coolest, and have reserved a special place in my heart for you always!!!  That being said, I want to apologize for the somewhat poor quality of some of my pictures.  I have having some difficulties with my camera/uploading process, and I am working to fix that ASAP.

Moving on...I went to CVS today to pick up a last minute card for my husband.  ( I ended up getting him two cards!  One was silly, one was sweet, and I just couldn't decide so the only solution was to get both.) I think it may be physically impossible for me to go into a drugstore without walking down the makeup aisle.  I've tried not to, but I always end up there.  Today was no different.

I walked out with:

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 160 Fresh Beige
Rimmel Stay Matte in 001 Transparent
Rimmel ScandalEyes in 004 Guilty Grey and 006 Paranoid Purple
L'Oreal Colour Riche Caress Wet Shine Stain (Dude. Ridiculously long name!) in 188 Coral Tattoo

Coral Tattoo, Grey Guilt, Paranoid Purple (Top to Bottom); natural light (L), with flash (R)

I'm really liking everything so far.  I still need to test them out, but the Rimmel ScandalEyes really do last and seem to be pretty smudge-proof and water resistant.  I find that most drugstore eyeshadow sticks like the ScandalEyes crease and smear all over on me so I have my fingers crossed that these will be totally awesome.  I'm also really liking the Nearly Naked Foundation.  It gives a fairly matte coverage that is buildable.  I haven't really tested the other two products, but my first impressions of both are positive.  I like the color of the gloss (I'm not typing that name out again unless I absolutely have to), but we'll see how it holds up tomorrow.
No makeup (L); Makeup with flash...and looking a little spooked (C); Makeup without flash (R)

  1. I have been meaning to check out Revlon's Nearly Naked foundation. I like my foundation dewy, light to med coverage, and I have normal to dry skin. Do you think it would work for me? Also I read that it was a lot like NARS Sheer Glow.

    1. I think it would definitely be worth it for you to check it out. It isn't necessarily "dewy" in my opinion, but it has a really nice finish. It just makes you look like you have perfect skin. I have normal to combination skin and I think it might work a little bit better for you since your skin is drier. I haven't tried NARS Sheer Glow bc I didn't think it would work really well with my oilier T-zone so I can't compare. I did wear it all day yesterday and at the end of the day it looked just as good as it did in the morning. Let me know if you check it out. I'd love to know what you think. (Wow - epic response on my part haha)
